About Claydon Clocks

The Claydon Clocks workshop is based in East Claydon, Buckinghamshire. We specialise in repairing antique clocks, restoration and getting them reliable once again. Modern clock mechanisms are also not a problem, we’re open for business to discuss your requirements.

Dan’s core employment has been restoration of antique and modern clocks for the last 20 years. He has now moved into his home workshop which has the utmost familiarity, especially when working with small, yet fragile mechanisms.

I have always had an interest and worked with machines of varying types ranging from agricultural machinery to bicycles not forgetting clocks. After completing the British Horological Institute 3 year course in Technical Horology in 2001 and gaining the BHI Bronze medal, and a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers. I have been a full time horologist for over 20 years and have the experience of working on a wide range of mechanisms although there is often something interesting that turns up!
